Chapter 05 Incubation II

Warmth · Containment · Emergence

Intubation II— third and fourth installations — introduces a dual-bloom form, where life unfolds at both ends of the structure. The two lamps differ in scale and light rhythm: the smaller lamp exudes vibrant energy, its top and base glowing with bright, concentrated orange as if a tiny life pulses simultaneously from above and below. This double bloom creates a dynamic, flowing atmosphere, radiating vitality and tension throughout the space. The larger lamp, in contrast, offers a soft, uniform orange light at both ends, evoking maturity and the gentle embrace of a life fully expanded.

Incubation III

Each lamp exists independently yet resonates with the other in mood and form. The small lamp represents the simultaneous stirrings of life in multiple directions, while the large lamp embodies harmonious growth and balance. Together, they trace the rhythm of emergence, the delicate interplay of energy and calm.

Incubation IV

The bio-plastic surface, naturally forming tiny bubbles, refracts the light to create subtle shadows and glimmers, resembling multiple tiny lives contained and nurtured within the work. The curves, double blooms, and interplay of light and transparency invite viewers to sense the pulse of life in motion, experiencing growth from all angles.

From small to large, from concentrated energy to harmonious expansion, the dual-bloom installations capture the rhythm and vibrancy of life, illuminating the space and its subtle moments with a warm, embracing orange light.
